Cambridge Assessment Admissions Testing
Administering our tests
The Occupational English Test (OET) evaluates the English language competence of qualified healthcare professionals, who wish to gain provisional registration to practise their profession in an English-speaking context. All four language skills are assessed, with Writing and Speaking tests available in 12 different areas of healthcare. All candidates sit the same Reading and Listening tests.
OET is owned by Cambridge Boxhill Language Assessment, a joint venture between Cambridge English Language Assessment and Box Hill Institute. The test was originally developed by the University of Melbourne's Language Testing Research Centre under contract to the Australian Federal Government. The test is now developed and administered by the OET Centre based in Melbourne, Australia, which has been managing the test since 2004.
For more information on the test and how you can register to take it, visit the OET website at www.occupationalenglishtest.org
